How to Spot a Health-Hazardous Weight Loss Diet

Almost two-thirds of the American population is obese. And with this growing trend and epidemic of overweight and obesity not only in the United States but also in almost every country globally, weight loss products and commercial weight reduction diets become overly popular. Many people try one diet after another in their quest to have the most effective procedure in losing weight. And so, the question is this: How can you possibly spot a health-hazardous weight loss diet?

According to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, there are several questions you need to ask in order to know which diet regimen is healthy and which can be potentially health-hazardous:

Does this diet claim to reduce your weight rapidly?

Diets that promise you to make you lose more than two pounds per week are probably dangerous to your health. According to the Weight-control Information Network, rapid weight reduction leads to gallstone formation, weight cycling and increased risk for type 2 diabetes. If you want to have a healthy decrease in weight, losing one to two pounds per week through a well balanced diet and exercise is the way to go.

Does this diet promote unbelievable success from the people who used this diet strategy or weight loss product?

Many people promote products because they were paid to do so. Remember, almost every advertisement is a paid advertisement.

Does this diet advise you to use a particular food in excess to promote weight loss? Does it make you shy away from a particular food content such as carbohydrate or protein?

Eating a particular food or nutrient in excess can promote nutritional imbalance. Shying away from important food components such as carbohydrates and protein can cause nutritional deficiencies. If you want to have a healthy weight reduction, having a well-balanced diet is still the best way to execute your weight loss plans.

Does your diet procedure require you to eat less than 1200 calories per day?

Eating a very-low calorie diet which is less than the recommended 1200 calories per day can lead to rapid, unhealthy weight decrease which can result in detrimental consequences. To prevent this from happening, stick to a diet that can provide you with enough energy for your activities all throughout the day.

Weight Loss Diet Plans – In Search of the Great Elixir for All of Our Weight Loss Problems

There are more ways to lose weight than there are bathroom scales in the world. But there is only one way to keep the weight off for good and I am determined to spread it to the world. I lived life in the dieting fast lane for fifty years.

I have been on just about every diet that has come out in the past fifty years. I’ve tried Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, The Scarsdale Diet, Atkins Diet, Slim-fast, Nutrisystem, Medifast, Dr. Oz, South Beach, and all of the other you-name-it weight loss diet plans. I don’t recall not being on a diet. I diligently huffed and puffed my way to excellent fitness, getting my weight down only to gain it back. Weight loss companies LOVE me!

I have tried a fasting clinic in New Jersey, the spa at La Costa in California, a juice-only clinic south of London, and Clinique Valmont in Montreau, Switzerland, which I frequented for ten years. None of these weight loss diet plans gave me lasting results. Oh, I lost lots of weight, but gained it right back – sometimes getting very sick. My thyroid went out of whack after the fasting clinic in New Jersey.

Guys! Listen up! Always check with your doctor before going on any diet, cleanse, or fast.

The only weight loss diet plans that have come close to working right are those that advocate organic nutrition like the Paleo Diet, Dr. Gundry’s Diet Evolution, any of Marylu Henner’s books, and a cookbook by Mark Hyman from Canyon Ranch Spa in Tucson. But even these books are too restrictive for me.

So What Are the Best Weight Loss Diet Plans Out There?

Here’s the deal! No more pop tarts! But wait! There’s more!

• Go to your pantry! Throw out all of the “white menace.” Toss out all white rice, all sugar, white flour pasta, iodized salt (sea salt in moderation is okay), white flour, white potatoes, and anything else that’s white.

• Processed food equals poison. READ THE LABELS! Anything with “ose” at the end of the word like high fructose corn syrup or anything that is genetically modified, has food coloring, aspartame, or other chemicals should be tossed out. Processed foods are making you very sick!

“I’m not sick! I feel great,” you say, but you are wrong. Your intestines are filled with disgusting critters that need to be flushed. You will only discover how sick you really are after you’ve been eating right for a few weeks and start to feel healthy again.

Not only are your intestines ill, but your liver is so clogged with toxins it’s too bogged down to keep your metabolism running at its best. Make sure you clean up these vital organs by doing a full body cleanse before starting one of the healthier weight loss diet plans.

• Throw out all hydrogenated oils. You will learn to love olive oil, walnut oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, and a host of other wonderful oils.

• Buy only grass fed or organic meats.

• Eat ONLY fish that have been caught wild.

• Familiarize yourself with the healthy foods (there are too many to list here) The best weight loss diet plans will tell you to start buying organic. It will be well worth the learning curve. If you absolutely must shop at your regular supermarket, only buy products from the perimeter of the store. Most of the toxic foods are sold in the center aisles. I can guarantee that if you change your eating habits in the above mentioned ways, your liver will love you, your metabolism will be up to speed, the weight will fall off for good and you will be feeling better than you have in years.

Virginia Perl has amassed more than fifty years of hands-on weight loss experience. As she says, “If you want to lose weight, diets really do work! If you want to keep the weight off and never have to diet again, well that’s another story. Diets – especially fad diets – are detrimental to keeping weight off.” So what is Virginia’s advice, after being on one diet or another her whole life? “Never go on a diet to begin with. Instead, change your eating habits. Give your body what it’s begging for and what it needs so that your metabolism can do it’s job.”

Losing Weight With Supplements and Slimming Body Wraps Today

There are a lot of ways that you can lose weight. Many people don’t realize that they have extra boosts with certain items. For instance, many already know the benefits of exercise, but what if you wanted to work through something more? Let’s say that you wanted to go through the process a bit faster, what would you do? Nutritionists and experts state the same, you use supplements. There’s nothing wrong with this, and many professional athletes use them to get performances that are absolutely on top of their overall game. If you are looking to lose weight right now, you’re going to want to use them, as well as slimming body wraps, and there’s several reasons why.

The Supplement Element

The main reason you should take diet supplements is because they work. That’s right, they simply work. How do these usually work? Well, the majority of them curb appetite, but the best ones give you a boost of energy. Often times, you’ll find that the energy boost is not just to keep you alert and focused. When you add an energy boost to your regular exercise plan and daily routine, you are going to find that your metabolic rate spikes. When you get that to rise, you will burn through calories faster. If you burn calories faster, you will end up with a thinner waistline, within faster speeds than most.

Slimming Body Wraps Work Too

The second thing that you should look into today is simple, slimming body wraps. These are interesting in that they provide a great number of benefits. The main benefit is to slim and train the waistline. The second is to burn more calories, remove toxins, and deliver a potent mix of vitamins. You’ll be training your body to work faster with the metabolic rate that you have. These are relative new, but they have been proven to work time and time again by real people.

Getting Results Faster

The number one thing to remember about losing weight with diet supplements and slimming body wraps is that they bring about results faster. Sprinkle in a good healthy lifestyle, exercise, and you’ll see your results will rise to all new heights. You want results, like many people do, and these two elements have been proven to work faster, and easier than other methods. It’s with that in mind that you should focus on these elements moving forward. You’ll thank yourself, and you’ll see the pounds melt away fast.

Book Review – Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off!

Did you know most of us are on a high-protein diet whether we know it or not? I didn’t either until I read Johansen’s book, Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! Did you know the U.S. is among the top 10 countries with the most overweight people?… that three out of ten people are currently trying to lose weight?… that the grapefruit diet has been around since the 1930’s?

Johansen has prepared us with a dish of healthy common sense facts and truths about dieting. She gives 12 characteristics of fad diets and explains how to spot them. Specifically, she mentions 15 of such diets by name – Jenny Craig, Paleo, Atkins, Gluten-free, Cleanse, Blood type, Nutrisystem, etc. – and logically explains why these diets are not beneficial and even detrimental to most people.

Next, Johansen explains who should limit or avoid foods in certain food groups and who should not. After all, as she points out, “… it’s important that we don’t develop an unhealthy or fearful relationship with food.” In her book, she also explains how to visualize serving sizes. For instance, it may be easier to regulate food consumption when you think of a cup of cereal as the size of a baseball or three ounces as the size of your checkbook or a gram size being that of a paper clip.

For dessert, some of the book is ironically hilarious as Johansen explains ridiculous diets such as the “cotton ball baloney” in which a person eats 5 cotton balls soaked in lemonade. As you read through these once-popular “diets”, you are given a clearer perspective of today’s trending diets. In addition, over 30 tips are given for healthy eating such as: “Don’t drink your calories,” “Practice mindful eating” “Take advantage of your support system” and many more. Further, six indicators of not getting enough water and a description of our most efficient energy source are served on the table along with the main content.

Lastly, Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off, provides two websites where you can find a plethora of information on healthy eating and, at the time, design a diet specific to your needs.

Weight Loss – Why Dieting Makes You Fat

With obesity contributing to many health and confidence problems, more and more people are searching for ways to lose weight. The problem is that the more people diet, the more weight they seem to gain. It seems ironic that with thousands of diets available, Western society seems to be gaining weight instead of losing it. If dieting was the solution, nobody would be overweight because there are literally thousands of diets available and most people struggling with their weight have tried a lot more than one diet.

The truth is that losing weight has very little to do with focusing on food and everything to do with getting your mind in the right frame to allow you to be successful.

Why Diets Don’t Work

Dieting or reducing calories to low levels actually increases the chances of putting on weight. While there may be some weight loss initially, the body will soon go into ‘starvation mode’ which means it lowers your metabolism so that you don’t need as many calories in order to function. Basically what happens is your body will lower your metabolic rate to adapt to whatever calories you allow it to have. For example, reducing calories to 1200 per day (and there are many diets that are even lower!) makes your body adapt so that it can function at 1200 calories per day. The problem is that as soon as you eat more than 1200 calories or ‘stop dieting’ you will immediately put on fat. And since you would have lost some muscle and fluid in your initial weight loss, you are actually far worse off than before you began the diet! Losing muscle mass also lowers your metabolism. The yo-yo cycle of dieting to lose weight (which includes losing muscle) and then putting it back on is a sure way of getting fatter and fatter. The other problem with ‘dieting’ is that it makes you focus on food and start labelling things as good or bad. This usually leads to a person feeling as though they are ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and food can then become a reward or a punishment. Because it is impossible to stay on a diet forever (and who would want to??), people start labelling themselves as failures and start using lots of negative self talk. This only makes the problem worse and they end up in a perpetual cycle of feeling bad about themselves which often leads to emotional eating and even more weight gain.

What is the Answer?

Focus on changing how you think and feel! You will never make any permanent changes in your lifestyle without changing the way you think and feel about yourself. This is why diets usually don’t work permanently. Diets focus on external things such as food, weight, size and exercise. The few people who are permanently successful through dieting have made internal changes to their way of thinking. They have learned to love and accept themselves and start feeling as though they are worthy of being slimmer, healthier and more energetic.

Change Your Thinking to Change Your Results

Everything you do starts with a thought. Before you overeat or eat food low in nutritional quality, you have to think about it first. By changing the thought you can change the outcome. Have you ever thought to yourself “Don’t eat that pizza! Don’t eat that cake!” You actually think in pictures not words. Telling yourself “Don’t eat that pizza! Don’t eat that cake!” will put a picture in your mind of the pizza or cake. Your mind doesn’t know what ‘Don’t!’ looks like, but it does know what pizza or cake looks like! Once you have a picture in your mind, it’s difficult to erase it. That’s why the more you think about what you ‘can’t’ have, the more likely you are to eat it. Once you’ve had a thought, you get a feeling about it. That feeling leads you to take some kind of action which is how you get results. For example, if your thought is about eating a whole pizza, you might start feeling emotionally hungry (not to be confused with biological hunger!) or you might feel depressed because you know you shouldn’t eat pizza or you might feel happy that you will get to eat pizza or you might feel strong, powerful or beautiful right at that moment. Depending on which feeling you allow yourself to have (yes you do have control over your feelings, although most people think they don’t!) will depend on what you do or your action. If you are feeling empowered or in control, you might choose to not eat the pizza. If you’re feeling depressed, bored, tired, angry, happy or whatever emotion tends to make you eat, then you will probably choose to eat the pizza and then feel even worse once you’ve finished. Obviously the result is weight gain.

If you learn to change your thinking at the thought then you will automatically change the feeling which will change the action which will change your results. This can lead to permanent weight loss just from changing thoughts! Slim people usually eat whatever they want. It takes very little effort for them to stay slim. Sometimes they eat ‘bad’ food and sometimes they eat ‘good’ food. While they may have a slightly faster metabolism, (probably because they haven’t lowered it through dieting!), the main reason they are slim is because of the way they think about themselves and food!

3 Strategies For Losing Weight Without Dieting

I really dislike the word “diet”. I think that most people who want to lose weight break out into a cold sweat when they hear the word. It conjures up fears of being hungry all the time and feeling deprived. Not a great strategy for long term and sustainable weight loss.

When I talk to clients about losing weight, I tell them that they will lose weight without dieting. How’s that possible? Doesn’t weight loss and crazy fad diets go together? Maybe for short-term weight loss it does. But weight loss that is long-term and sustainable is done with subtle changes to lifestyle.

Here are 3 strategies for losing weight without dieting:

1. Eat Slowly:

This strategy is so simple that you may find it hard to believe. You can lose all of the weight you want if you did this one thing every day.

Here is the way it works – It takes about 20 minutes for your gut to communicate with your brain that you are full. That’s a long time, considering the average meal-time for folks is about 6 minutes. Think about all of the food you can eat before your brain says that you are full!! This is the main reason why so many of us OVEREAT.

So the fix for this is to eat slowly. In fact, you should shoot for taking 15 to 20 minutes to complete your meal. The best way to do this is to take a bite of food and put your fork down. Talk to the other people at the table. Take a drink of water. Listen to the conversation of others. Then go ahead and take another bites.

The longer it takes you to eat, the more full you will feel. Done correctly, you should feel full before you finish your meal.

2. Stop Eating When You No Longer “Feel” Hungry:

This is a big one. How many times have you had a meal where you felt full, but the food was SOO GOOD that you could not resist and you ate until you felt like your stomach was going to burst. Because we live in an age of abundance, food is readily available. Se we eat more for pleasure and entertainment than for sustenance.

Try this – Stop eating when you feel like you are about 80% full. What does this feel like? It is a feeling of “not being hungry”. In other words, when your hunger is satisfied, stop eating. Even if you have food still on your plate, stop eating and put it into a piece of Tupperware.

This is going to do a few things. First, it will enhance your mind/body connection. Secondly, it will shrink your stomach. When you eat more slowly and stop when you are no longer hungry, your stomach will shrink. This is a lot less expensive than gastric by-pass surgery. Once your stomach has shrunk a bit, it will be very easy to reduce your portion sizes.

3. Cut Your Portion Sizes by 25% to 50%:

If you are a “big eater”, this one will sound impossible. But, if you slow down and stop eating when you are 80% full, then you will naturally eat less full. This will shrink your stomach and pretty soon you will feel totally satisfied on ½ of what you would normally eat.

So think about what would happen to your waistline if you cut your food intake by 50%. By the way, this is without changing the foods you eat normally. In other words, losing weight without dieting.

I have a client who lost 65 pounds in 5 months by following these 3 strategies. He did not change his diet, just how much he was eating. Once he lost the weight, he then started focusing on the nutrition end and introduced foods with a higher nutritional value. He wanted more “nutritional” bang for his “caloric” buck. That allowed him to not only lose more weight, but significantly increase his energy.

Weight Loss Diet Plan – Health Food Delivery Services

When it comes to weight loss creativity and innovation, body fat wonders never cease to amaze you. Consider that now, both your taste preferences and palette can delve into freshly prepared, highly effective, and even completely delicious meals delivered right to your home via weight loss diet plan health food delivery services.

Essentially, what you have here is weight loss diet plan health food delivery services for body fat reduction support. This is a creative health food delivery services solution that solves at least one of four major obstacles most dieters face in the quest for a better body.

Common weight loss diet plan obstacles include the following:

Lack of Know-How – (Solution): Professional chefs, coupled with and supported by the bona fide expertise of nutritionists, bodybuilding, weight management, and personal trainers, help make it a lot easier for you to take part in successful and effective health food diet plan achievement by eating foods that taste good, as well as supporting negative energy balance needed to lose body fat.

Lack of Money – (Solution): There is much controversy and debate over whether or not being in great shape with maximized performance ability is truly costly, or merely a basic sacrifice that one chooses to make in order to attain more self-satisfying, long-term, weight loss diet plan success. Perhaps you notice that typical junk foods don’t really cost you much. Yet, they also leave you high and dry in terms of healthy meal diet plan weight loss support. Probably, like other things worthwhile in this life we live, items that provide consistent, reliable service come with a slightly higher ticket price.

Yet, weight loss diet plan food delivery services strongly appear to keep your financial outlay at reasonable minimums. Lack of cash need stop no one from attaining the level of fitness they highly desire and truly work to achieve. Less of the bad things and more of the good remains part of a smart, highly recommended, professional health food delivery strategy. Weight loss diet planning is not about money; it’s about awareness, commitment, and dedication.

Lack of Motivation – (Solution): For many, it’s hard to get started on almost any weight loss diet plan at all. Even for some, simply getting up in the morning proves a chore in itself. Yet, a good weight loss diet plan remains an essential part of the body fat reduction process. Without such advance body fat planning or strategy, you leave yourself wide open to yo-yo dieting behavior. That is, you try one weigh loss approach for a while, it fails you; then you return to where you started, feeling frustrated and doubtful about your ability to attain consistent and lasting body fat results. Viable healthy meal food delivery services augment your drive to achieve weight loss results by providing your body with not only physical fuel in the way of food energy, but also helps you release your mental powers with added focus on losing weight. Liking gaining an extra, customized, personalized, or specialized tool to cut excess fat away from your body… diet meal plan food delivery gives you extra options and more alternatives to healthy eating behavior.

Lack of Time – (Solution): To lose body weight effectively, it is important that you be able to concentrate and focus on the daily chores you constantly face. Time management contributes to peace of mind and reducing undue stress, which is counterproductive to weight loss achievement.

Probably the greatest fact you can take home with you, in regard to diet meal planning and health food delivery, is this: Convenience need no longer be a stumbling block to your body fat success. Imagine the power of having professional, caring, educated, and specialized experts affordably prepare your meals CORRECTLY, virtually each and every day, so that you can be as free as possible to reach body fat and weight loss goals effectively, safely, reliably, enjoyably, and in good taste, too.

Being successful at weight loss will almost always require that you do at least three things with as much accuracy and precision as possible. You must keep your health food or weight loss diet plan, plus:

1. Maintain a daily negative energy balance.

2. Monitor your input and output, carefully keeping accurate records of your progress and failures, too. (Yes, record failures too, so that you can fix them and avoid future repetition.)

3. Challenge and engage your body with gradually increasing, higher energy action of intentionally longer durations. (This is how you build and develop maximum endurance, energy, power, stamina, and strength.)

Adding weight loss diet plan food delivery services to your above action plan propels body fat reduction success rates to optimized attainment levels.

Take a good look at weight loss diet plan health food delivery services in the mindset of losing body fat with additional commitment and reachable body fat goal support. Without proper health food diet plan eating habits, even the best exerciser struggles with losing weight because it’s practically all about calories. Exercise can only increase calories out, depending upon your level of fitness and the intensity at which you can stand to operate.

Yet, with or without exercise, health food delivery diet planning virtually always scores points for you in body fat achievement because the everlasting body fat equation remains true:

ENERGY IN (that’s the food you eat), minus ENERGY-OUT (that’s the exercise you do), equals ENERGY BALANCE (that’s the amount you weigh right now). In a nutshell, if your health food weight loss diet plan remains simple, effective, and delicious, then you can stick with it and get the results and rewards you desire or attempt to reach. Easy or not, health food diet planning is necessary, and weight loss diet plan food delivery services can help you with this challenging task.

Weight Loss Diet Pills

Diet pills are a very alluring option for someone who has many failed diets under their belt. Moreover, commercials promoting weight loss pills always promise fast and easy weight loss. It is important to know that many diet pills and weight loss aids are counterfeit. Americans spend an obscene amount of money on weight loss products, especially weight loss pills. âAccording to Fat — Exploding the myths, by Lisa Colles, Americans reportedly spend between $30 and 50 billion annually on diets, weight loss programs and products. A whopping $6 billion is spent on weight loss pills and products that are not genuine.

There are many different types of diet pills that can be broadly classified into the following types:

Prescription diet pills: These pills are primarily created for those suffering from debilitating obesity. Weight loss pills are not a mock solution for the problem, nor are they proposed as replacement for the conventional weight loss and management methods such as exercise and diet. When traditional weight loss techniques fail to produce the desired results, most people lose motivation and faith in the process. As a result they turn to quick fix answers like diet pills. The pills that are prescribed are only given for certain conditions and in certain dosages. Furthermore, their side effects have to be closely watched.

Over the counter weight loss pills: The weight loss industry is already cashing in on the average Americans insecurities surrounding body image and a certain definition of beauty based on how skinny you can be. This further fuels the diet industrys success. They make diet drugs and call them food supplements and these so called “supplements” are largely unregulated. They are not subjected to stringent testing by federal authorities nor are labeling requirements enforced, as in the case of prescription weight loss pills. Moral of the story: if weight loss diet pills are your only recourse, better see a doctor before you take them rather than after.

Common False Myths About Weight Loss Diet Plans That You Should Avoid

Because of the huge market for efficient weight loss programs in our developed societies, there has been an avalanche of different weight loss programs that have been introduced into this huge market.

However, if you take a closer look at some of these programs you will realise that “all that glitters is not gold”. Some of these products are actually dangerous to your health while others are not really as beneficial as they claim to be.

So, in this article we shall be taking a closer look at some false myths that surround some of the diet and weight loss programs that have hit the market recently:

-The raw vegan diet plan

The proponents of this raw vegan diet plan brainwash people into believing that this type of diet is good for their health whereas, this diet actually leads to serious vitamin and nutritional deficiencies if it is not properly supplemented.

Children that have tried this type of strictly raw vegan diet for long periods developed growth problems like the development of abnormally low heights and body weights in children, reduced bone density and development of skinny limbs.

Some children fed on this diet also develop swollen bellies and pinched cheeks while some other children developed rickets.

If you want to be on this type of raw diet you should seek professional advice and you must supplement this diet with the right amounts of nutritional and vitamin supplements.

-Meal replacement diet plan

A good example of this type of diet is the lighter meal replacement plan which advocates that you should restrict your calorie intake to 500 calories by replacing your major meals with lighter products like shakes and soups. The dieter is instructed to drink only water in addition to these products.

However, if you do not follow the instructions in this diet plan diligently, it can lead to catastrophic consequences; some people that drank too much water after making use of the products in this diet plan actually died.

If you want to make use of this diet plan, you must follow the instructions to the letter.

-Acai berry fruit

One of the most overhyped weight loss foods is acai berry; most of the advertising campaigns about this false super food are full of fake testimonials and a lot of pseudo-science claims.

Some of the funny adverts about this fruit claim that it has cleansing and detoxifying properties. They also claim that once you are using this acai berry, you do not need to adjust your diet and lifestyle.

The truth of the matter is that even though acai berry contains some vitamins and minerals, you can also get most of the nutrients and vitamins that it contains form less expensive fruits like oranges and lemons.

Also if you consume only acai berry to lose weight, all the pounds of weight that you lose will be gained back once you revert to your normal diet; it causes serious rebound weight gain after you stop eating it.

-Hoodia diet pills

The hoodia diet pill is a diet pill that is commonly advertised as an appetite suppressant which is able to trigger significant weight loss. Some advertisers of this pill also lay claim to the endorsement of this pill by various celebrities.

However the truth about this pill is that most of the scientific trials on this pill have not given any conclusive and consistent positive results thus refuting the claims that this pill is a wonder weight loss pill.

Also, you must realise that this Hoodia pill is yet to be fully approved by the food and drug administration known as the FDA. So, please do not get carried away by all the advertising hype around this pill.

-Excessive use of vitamins

The health benefits of vitamins have been exaggerated to false high levels in recent times and this has made a lot of people erroneously believe that using high doses of vitamins will make them stronger and boost their immune system.

However the truth is that if you use excessively high doses of vitamins you can develop the following complications:

a-If you consume more than 1.5mg of vitamin A in a day your bones will become brittle and more prone to fractures.

b-If you consume more than 1000mg of vitamin C supplements in a day you can develop diarrhoea and flatulence.

c-Excessive consumption of vitamin A rich beta-carotene foods like green leafy vegetables, yellow fruits like mangoes, apricots and lemons can actually increase your chances of developing lung cancer especially if you are a smoker.

d-Consumption of more than 540 mg of vitamin E could be detrimental to your health.

e-Excessive use of more than 0.3mg of selenium in a day leads to complications like hair loss, nail loss and skin loss.

-Weight loss teas and slimming capsules

Many weight loss teas and slim capsules contain a substance called sibutramine that can cause serious harmful diseases like heart attacks and strokes. If you are interested in using weight loss teas and weight loss pills you must check their ingredients to make sure that they do not contain sibutramine.

-Accu fat burning beads

These beads have been banned in the United States and in Great Britain.

-Other common false diet myths

Other common overhyped and inefficient weight loss diet plans include the lemonade diet plan.

So, are there any effective weight loss and diet programs out there?

Yes there are, and you can click here to discover these two proven and well tested diet and weight programs that have been used successfully by hundreds of thousands of people to get rid of their excessive body fat.

Revealed: Secret of a Successful Weight Loss Diet

Losing weight is a tough battle to win, but what’s even tougher is maintaining your optimum weight. Many people who are able to successfully shed the extra pounds return to their original weight after sometime. So, how do you make sure that you maintain your desired weight once you have reached it?

The answer to this question perhaps lies buried in the results of the investigations conducted by the National Weight Control Registry (NWCR) on successful weight loss maintenance over the long term. The NWCR tracks the habits of over 10,000 individuals who have shed significant amounts of weight and have been reasonably successful at keeping it off.

Here are some of the research findings, which if you incorporate into your life, may help you keep those extra pounds away!

Weight loss program: According to NWCR, 55 percent of their members lost weight by joining some type of weight loss program. In contrast, only 45 percent participants lost weight on their own. This is a testament to the effectiveness of some of the weight loss diet programs in the market.

However, it’s a good idea to be careful when picking a plan. It is recommended to do some research and select a program that is a healthy weight loss diet rather than opting for extreme plans such as liquid diets that can lead to serious nutritional deficiencies.

Low calorie, low fat diet: Most NWCR members reported maintaining a diet low in calories and fat to keep off the weight. Now there are two ways of maintaining a diet regime. You can do it on your own, which means you need to know exactly what foods to eat, how much to eat, and at what intervals.

The other, and in many ways a much simpler method, is to follow a structured commercial weight loss diet plan. Once you reach your target weight with the help of this diet plan, it’s best to continue the weight loss routine rather than return to the pre-weight loss eating habits.

But to be able to maintain the same routine, you need to choose a diet plan that is sustainable over a long period of time. For example, the Dukan Diet weight loss diet is centered around redesigning the eating habits of participants, so they can maintain their goal weight on a permanent basis.

Physical Activity: This is a no-brainer. Effective weight management is next to impossible without physical exercise. The findings of the NWCR research further corroborate this fact as 90 percent of members reported exercising for an average of one hour every day.

Most weight loss diet programs incorporate physical activity into their plan. Even if yours didn’t and you lost weight by following a strict food regimen only, once you reach your target weight, you need to get going on creating an exercise routine.

Hit the gym; go for a mighty run; join a spin class; do yoga – just get moving. One of the Dukan Diet’s weight loss diet tips to be followed in the final or Permanent Stabilization phase of the program is to take the stairs instead of the elevator and walk whenever possible. If only doing this can make you fitter, just imagine what a 20-minute run can do for your fitness!

Limit TV viewing: Sitting in front of the television, or worse still, lounging in front of it, is perhaps one of the unhealthiest human habits. It is also the most unproductive of all the activities we do, as is sitting in front of the computer in your office.

Of all the people who participated in the NWCR research, 62 percent watched less than 10 hours of television per week. By cutting down the amount of television you watch every day, you are giving yourself and your body the opportunity to engage in a more positive and constructive activity.
